Description

Part No: BV-FPK – Downdraught Filtration Bench With Knee Space

For use in situations where cabinet or arm extraction is not practical. Very well suited to precision working where seated operation is desirable for operator comfort. Suitable for dust or fume applications. (subject to correct filter combinations being fitted).

Due to price variations depending on filter specification’ please contact our sales team for exact prices.

Operation:

FPK is a robust, solidly constructed unit for production duties in industrial applications, giving a long life even in heavy use. FPK is simple to clean making it ideal for use in, for example, food or pharmaceutical applications. We can also supply it in stainless steel and with heavier surface loading up to 500kg.

The FPK range is designed to meet clients needs for efficient downdraught extraction whilst providing excellent working ergonomics, and is very well suited to precision working where seated operation is desirable for operator comfort.

Specifications may vary; contact us on the number below to discuss the correct model and filter selection for your application.

Applications:

  • Fingerprinting, rapid prototyping, model making, conservation and restoration, powder sampling and some chemical dusts.
  • Cleanrooms and laboratories, optical, or clean packing area applications.
  • Adhesives, solvents, conformal coatings, airbrushing, cleaning fluids, spray painting.
  • Sanding, grinding, deburring or dressing of welds

The BV-FPK is robust, and is well suited to continuous, production level use with surface loads up to 150kg.

Optional accessories available include Remote fans for ducting into external vent system, Electronic Speed Control, Enclosures, “Hours Run” meter, Filter pressure loss gauges, Castors.

Filtration:

Filters are positively clamped against soft rubber seals; filters can be quickly accessed via the top for cleaning. Replacement is also via removal of the surface. Contact us to discuss the correct model and filter selection for your application.

Filter sets include:

FILTER CATEGORY APPLICATIONS
A – Non Sparking Dusts Aluminium – Plastics – Atmospheric dusts – Flour or similar – GRP – Airline cleaning of electronics
F – Fine Dusts Carbon fibre finishing/sanding – Powder sampling – Other composites – Softwood dusts – Tool cleaning without RCS – Suitable for most general dust applications
B – Very Fine Dusts Fingerprinting – Rapid prototyping – Model making – Conservation and restoration – Printer / copier toner cartridge recycling – Powder sampling – Some chemical dusts
L – HEPA Filtered Pharmaceuticals – Hardwoods and MDF – Laboratory – Optical – Clean packing areas – Materials containing RCS – Hazardous dusts
C – Dust and Light Sparks Fettling – Sanding – Deburring – Dressing of welds
E – Low Volume Fume Solvents – Conformal coatings – Adhesives – Airbrushing – Cleaning fluids – Not for MEK
J – High Volume Fume Solvents – Conformal coatings – Adhesives – Airbrushing – Cleaning fluids – Not for MEK. Note – 960mm high with this filter configuration
R – Special Duty Fume Formaldehyde – Nitrogen Dioxide – Sulphur Dioxide – Hydrogen Sulphide – MEK – See ‘E’ and ‘J’ configurations for other fume applications. Note – 960mm high with this filter configuration

Through the process of filtration, adsorption and dilution, operator exposure to potentially hazardous substances is vastly reduced or eliminated.

Filter sets J and R use deeper filters and lower powered fans to increase filter dwell time and increase contaminant removal.

Demonstrating adequate control of the risks to the health of employees students and the general public, from dusts, powders, mists, fumes and vapours is the fundamental requirement of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH). For LEV information for employers visit the HSE website.
